The explanation didn't really help explain why she was doing this, but Siobahn knew that sometimes cultures just did things that were weird and that's how it was. Mr. Kha sometimes did weird things because he was from the Steppe and Doma and she didn't really get those either, but they were not smearing mud all over himself.
